The Runaways: Live In Japan (1977)

In the summer of 1977 The Runaways arrived in Japan for a string of sold out shows. The Runaways were the number 4 imported music act in Japan at the time, behind only ABBA, KISS and Led Zeppelin in terms of album sales and popularity. The girls were unprepared for the onslaught of fans that greeted them at the airport. The mass hysteria was later described by guitarist Jett as being "like Beatlemania". While in Japan, The Runaways had their own TV special, did numerous television appearances and released the live album "Live in Japan" that went gold. Also in Japan, Fox left the band shortly before the group was scheduled to appear at the 1977 Tokyo Music Festival. Joan Jett temporarily took over bass duties and when the group returned home they replaced Jackie Fox with Vicki Blue.

Queen - Days Of Our Lives (2011)

The life and times of the rock band Queen - told in two parts covering in part one the 1970's and in part two the 1980's and beyond. In this documentary, for the first time, it is the band that tells their story. Guiding us through an extensive archive full of hitherto unseen footage, the documentary reveals how four strong-minded individuals, all capable of writing massive hit songs, worked together so successfully for four decades. Queen never did anything by halves - meaning their highs were massive, but their lows catastrophic. It is a compelling story told with intelligence, wit, plenty of humour and painful honesty.

Iron Maiden - Raising Hell (1993)

Raising Hell is a concert video by the heavy metal band Iron Maiden, filmed on 28 August 1993 at the Pinewood Studios in London, England and broadcast live on pay-per-view television in North America. It was later bought by the BBC for broadcast in the UK as an edited version. The video is distributed on VHS and DVD by BMG Special Products in the U.S. and EMI in the rest of the world.

The concert was the last to feature vocalist Bruce Dickinson (until he returned to the band in 1999). The band played on stage in conjunction with horror magician Simon Drake, who ended up "killing" Bruce in an Iron Maiden torture device, "amputated" Dave Murray's hands on a table saw and "killed" members of the crew and audience.

Tommy (1975)

Considered one of the three greatest Rock Opera together with "The Wall" by Pink Floyd and "Jesus Christ Superstar" . This classic rock opera is brought energetically to life by an outstanding cast including many stars of the rock music industry. Told through the remarkable music of The Who, this is the story of Tommy, who, when just a boy of six, witnessed the murder of his father by his mother (Ann-Margret) and her lover (Oliver Reed). They command him, “You didn’t hear it, you didn’t see it, and you won’t say anything to anyone…” As a result, the traumatized boy retreats into the shadows of his mind and becomes deaf, dumb, and blind. Growing into manhood, Tommy (Roger Daltrey) is subjected to several bizarre cure attempts by The Acid Queen (Tina Turner), the Preacher (Eric Clapton), and the Specialist (Jack Nicholson). In spite of his handicap, Tommy defeats the Pinball Wizard (Elton John) and becomes the champ, attaining a devoted following. When he is finally cured, he is hailed by his fans as a “Messiah.”

Jesus Christ Superstar (1973)

Considered one of the three greatest Rock Opera ever together with "The Wall" by Pink Floyd and The Who's "Tommy ... A masterpiece of rock and roll! Based on a concept album project written by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, and the subsequent long-running Broadway performance, this film tells the story of the final 6 days in the life of Jesus Christ through the troubled eyes of Judas Iscariot. Most of the movie focuses on the character of Judas who is depicted as a tragic and realistic figure that is not satisfied with the apparent lack of political planning and claims of divinity from Jesus.

Historic show at the Royal Albert Hall, professionally recorded and filmed but shelved for several decades. Released on the 2003 official dvd. Scorpions - Acoustica (2001)

Acoustica is a 2001 unplugged DVD by German heavy metal band Scorpions. Acoustica was recorded during three concerts, at Convento do Beato, Lisbon, Portugal, in February 2001.[2] It was a most unusual set for the band, as Klaus Meine comments on the DVD. The band was supported by female backing vocalists, a percussionist, an extra guitarist and Christian Kolonovits (who had worked with the band as conductor and arranger on the Moment of Glory album) on keyboards. He also collaborated on rearranging the songs for the acoustic set. The band performed four new songs: "Life is too Short", "Back to You", "I Wanted to Cry" and "When Love Kills Love", which was released as single. Acoustica also contains cover versions of songs such as The Cars' "Drive", Kansas' "Dust in the Wind" and the Queen hit "Love of My Life".

Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii (1972)

Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii is a 1972 film featuring Pink Floyd performing six songs in the ancient Roman amphitheatre in Pompeii, Italy. The performances of "Echoes," "A Saucerful of Secrets," and "One of These Days" were filmed from October 4, 1971 to October 7, 1971. The remaining songs were filmed in a Paris studio, along with additional front projection footage for insertion into the Pompeii performances. The sequences in Paris were filmed in late 1971/early 1972, and can be distinguished by the absence of Richard Wright's beard. The 80-minute version features studio footage from the recordings of Dark side of the Moon, with alternate versions of Us and them, On the run and Brain Damage, as well as hilarious interviews with the band (don't miss Waters raving about the great economical collapse, and Nick whining about the crust on the pie).

Pink Floyd at Live 8 BBC (2005)

On 2 July 2005 Pink Floyd performed at the London Live 8 concert with Roger Waters rejoining David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright. It was the quartet's first performance together in over 24 years — the band's last show with Waters was at Earls Court in London on 17 June 1981.
At the end, after the last song had been played, Gilmour said "thank you very much, good night" and started to walk off the stage. Waters called him back, however, and the band shared a group hug that became one of the most famous pictures of Live 8. As they proceeded to walk off, Nick Mason threw his drumsticks into the audience. With Wright's subsequent death, in September 2008, this was to be the final concert to feature all four bandmates.
